What is Altimeter GPS & Barometer? Altimeter GPS is an app designed for offline use that uses your phone's sensors to assist with wilderness treks or survival situations. It features an outdoor barometric altimeter with seven open source maps, a compass with places search, weather and step counter, and a "Pure Altitude Algorithm" for better altitude accuracy. The app determines the altitude of your current location based on GPS tracking, Aster or barometric.
