Download and install the MetService app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .
- Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using MetService on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "MetService"
- The search will reveal the MetService app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once MetService is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including MetService.
- Now enjoy MetService on PC.
- Using MetService on Mac OS:
Install MetService on your Mac using the same steps for Windows OS above.
How to download and use MetService App on Windows 11
To get MetService on Windows 11, check if there's a native MetService Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)
- For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.
- Installing MetService:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "MetService" » Click "Install" to install MetService
- MetService will now be available on your windows start-menu.

Extremely limited weather app compared to what’s available in the US. It would be nice to have more customizable controls on what is seen and more access to data like wind maps, tides, lightning. The radar map is extremely low detail and doesn’t even provide a location. It would be great to provide minute-casts with weather like Auckland in the winter. Also the video plays through the ringer volume which is just bad programming.

Painfully slow app

I downloaded this for a NZ visit. It is painfully slow and cumbersome due in part to the limited and slow mobile internet service in NZ. Images and radars take ages to load. It's much easier and faster to get the weather info elsewhere. 2 stars.

Ugh, at least it's "pretty"

After giving it a few weeks to see if I could learn the new version, I can say now it is awful. It is now nearly impossible to use for quick reference for weather. I loved the old version allowed you to quickly swipe to see the days, as well as included images from local areas. This version has gotten a graphic design upgrade that is LOW on readability and requires way too much scrolling to find anything. I'm sure this app paid a pretty penny for this redesign and they should demand a fix. I also paid for this app and am now seeing ads... no, not how paid apps work. So disappointed.

Disastrous "upgrade"

Useless eye candy makes getting details impossible for knowing what to bring or whether to drive or bike. If you get the display to show rain and wind, you can't easily swipe back and forth between differ parts of the region. Combined with interface freezes and feature loss (where'd the full national radar picture go?!), I'm really sad I "upgraded".
