New refreshing look, impractical interface

I welcome the refreshing new look of the app. After using the older version for more than an year, I always felt that a graphical update was overdue with new graphical capabilities being added on to the iPhone. Sadly though with the new interface the app has lost the ease of reading news. The page looks cluttered even with only one news article shown for each section on the front page and a not so smooth (or easy-to-figure) swipe to the left to look at up to 3 articles in each section. This makes the reading experience a lot more time consuming with no additional informational benefits and involves a lot more moving around the page. It is not a function of just the initial learning curve to getting used to the new look but indeed a lack of usability. It sounds presumptuous but it seems like the new interface lacked input from user focus groups and reviewers before launch. I have never checked out the video section of the app and cannot comment on that.
App keeps crashing on opening any news item

Serious crashing issues make this app useless. Can't open any news item. Been like this for over a week now. Surprising that such a huge media company can have such bad quality app. Time to switch to other news sources...
New update is really bad!!!

How come a media like this app failed to test this app before sending to market. Yes it is free but you have responsibilities. Guys who manages IT is answerable. By the way your channels are great and you have our trust but sadly we hate your updated app. Please fix it and come back —- you can do that.
Loading indicators everywhere

There are loading indicators all over the app, sometime multiple of them one over the time the. News articles sometimes never load.
