  • Pretty good

    By Tremolux66 (Pcmac user)

UPDATE: I've gotten used to most of the user interface quirks so I'll give it an extra star. Good for finding words that aren't in other American dictionaries. I think it looks odd that the original word is included in the Thesaurus entries, but I suppose it saves storage to be able to link one entry to multiple words. Original review from 6 yrs ago: I find this app to be handy but with some shortcomings. I find the user interface a bit awkward - I wish the navigation arrows went between screens I've looked at and not just screens within a category (more like a web browser). The depth & detail are inconsistent across definitions (i.e. for different words or phrases) but generally good when the info is there. Some of the written pronunciations are dead wrong; in those cases the audio version is usually correct (and vice versa). The app is worth having but could be better.
  • Very Useful App

    By Ken Nielsen (Pcmac user)

I find myself going back to this app quite often, to check word meaning, even to get correct word pronunciation. The only drawback is that if you do not know the correct spelling for the word you are trying to find, you are out of luck as there is no spell-help within this program. What I wind up doing in that instance is to go to Google and type in the closest spelling I know an Google then comes up with the word correctly spelled.
  • Solid App

    By OceanicFeeling (Pcmac user)

I had several dictionary apps, this is my main one. I like this app's definitions for the basic idea of the word's most common meanings. The thesaurus is OKAY, but rather than bog the app down with that info (anyone serious will go online anyway), or with new features, speed should be the focus now. Make the app load and find the definition as quickly as possible. In a nutshell; keep it fast and simple.
  • Great Dictionary

By The Orginal Captain Ron (Pcmac user)

This is by far a great app in my opinion. Even though I’m later in life, I’m a avid book reader, there are many words used by author’s that I quite don’t understand and how they’re pronounced. the app gives me the definition and the pronunciation that I need. Have used this app through many of my different IPhones and will continue to do so. Keep up the great work that you’ve done.
