  • Completely Untrustworthy, Bait-and-Switch Cheats

    By fwoom (Pcmac user)

EDIT: The developer did not read my complaint. I paid for lifetime ad-free access and then the developer switched to subscription model. They rewarded those of us who helped them get started by switching the deal later and giving us ads anyway. Now they’re still giving ads to those naive enough to give them MORE money (I am not one of those people. I did not and will never subscribe after their unapologetic shenanigans). Oh, and they raised the prices, too. ——- For everyone complaining about paying a monthly fee for this app and STILL getting ads, you should’ve taken a look at previous reviews and what these crooks did to their original paying customers who paid them money to get them going in the first place. Longtime users such as myself paid for lifetime use, ad-free, and then later on, they put ads into the app unless you subscribe to a monthly fee. Yes, it’s only $1/month, but that’s not the point. The point is these jokers CANNOT be trusted. So if you neglected to pay attention to what these guys did to their original customers, it’s your own fault you’re getting ripped off now. If they did it before, they’ll do it again. I can’t believe Apple puts up with this from a developer. It’s nuts. We pay for one thing and get something else. I don’t even use the app anymore.
  • They fixed it!

    By DM Sr (Pcmac user)

After using & loving this app for years, a recent SW “update” probably did what they expected, but also caused a few unexpected problems, i.e. app didn’t retain category settings and crashed on iPad use ... Although sadly “bugs” are often a common side affect when many different apps are updated, what is uncommon is their Customer Support’s prompt email response to my email complaint & their Engineering’s software “fixes”! The app once again works the way I’ve grown to love and rely on. Now ain’t that nice!
  • It dropped a key feature

    By Trislave3 (Pcmac user)

I’ve been using this app for around 5-6 years. I’ve been very happy with it generally, but one of these recent updates has dropped the search function from the lists. You can no longer search through your existing list to find things you have previously had in the list so you can by them again without manually scrolling through every single thing you have ever put on your list. If they were to bring back the feature that lets me type “milk” and it brings up all the milks I’ve ever put on the list, and can then add 1 or 2 or however many items I need to by, I would once again be a very happy user of the app.
  • Loyalty rewarded, Great data-based app

    By iron bridge (Pcmac user)

Years ago when Palm sent down I (like hundreds of others) were desperate to find a replacement app for “Handy Shopper”, which was a very well-done shopper data base allowing cross- checking prices and lots of customization. This this app does it all and in a handier undated way. I’ve had it for years and was just given a coupon to get a year free, which was nice as I was really stalled out on the new yearly charge. I can’t stand ads, but think a smaller yearly fee would be easier to handle😕
