Decent Chess, Weak Battle

If you were expecting the classic the app Chess with lovely comedic, brutal, and slapstick animations of every possible kill / be killed combo, prepare to be underwhelmed. Once you get past the awkward camera positions and make your move, the characters that don’t look particularly distinct from each other take the same generic swipe at each opponent and fall in the same generic way.
So it’s like chess, only harder to see and makes you wait a bit longer for a perfunctory animation.
Not terrible at the price, I suppose.

Multiple glitches

Fun game with action figure pieces,however, very frequent lock ups and frozen game glitches makes it almost impossible to finish a game. Very disappointing considering this is actually a great game otherwise. Also, as mentioned by another reviewer, pawn queening for you, the player, doesn’t occur when appropriate. The game controls just lock up. Again, disappointing. Maybe the programmers could just fix those bugs and get those 5 stars!!

Fix Pawn Promotion

It's chess, only more fun! Except, that is, when the AI can execute a Pawn Promotion, but the Human player (due to a bug) can not! It is difficult to differentiate between white and black pieces and type of piece in question! It is also difficult to select squares you intend to advance to when other players partially block that position! It's a decent game, but it really needs work to make it more fun than it is frustrating!

Wow, what a game. If you love chess, want a live action game, don't undo moves, then this game is for you. If you undo moves then you may find it annoying that it loses the controls when you do that, so don't do it and you won't have any issues with the game
